We pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh by air-conditioned bus in the early morning and take you to Sharm airport for your flight to Cairo, where you will be accompanied by your Egyptologist tour guide.

When you arrive in the amazing city of Cairo, your first stop will be the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Great Pyramids of Giza

The oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Pyramids of Giza are the very reason alot of people come to Egypt, and seeing them close-up never disappoints.

Constructed over a 20 year period concluding around 2560BC, the pyramids of Cairo was the tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years, to this day we still do not know for sure exactly how they were built, although there are many theories.

During the Cairo tour we will give you much more information on the amazing Pyramids of Giza, and any questions you may have will be gladly answered by your Egyptologist tour guide.

The Sphinx

After you have seen the pyramids of Cairo, your next stop will be the Sphinx. The Great Sphinx of Giza is a mythological creature, formed of a lions body and a human head.

Standing over 73metres long and 20metres high, the The Great Sphinx of Giza is the oldest known monumental sculpture, and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom in the reign of the pharaoh Khafra.

During the tour of Cairo, you will find out how the nose of the Sphinx was broken off by Napololeon's soldiers, which can still be seen today.

Lunch on the Nile

Next up is a break for some lunch on the Nile, this will be a large buffet with foods to cater for all, before going to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities.

Museum of Egyptian Antiquities

Built in neo-classical style, designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon the museum exceed 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-roman period in Egypt and includes the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess.

You may also visit the mummies room at the Egyptian Museum for a background about the Egyptian civilisation and the mummification art in ancient Egypt.

Shopping in the Bazaars of Cairo

After you have seen the pyramids, sphinx and other amazing sights that Cairo has to offer, you will then be given some time for shopping in the world famous bazaars of Cairo.

Return to your Sharm Hotel

Then you will be transferred to Cairo domestic airport to fly back to Sharm El Sheikh with a transfer back to your hotel in Sharm.

The day has been carefully thought out in-order to give you the most enjoyable time possible in the time available, you will see the famous sights of Cairo and hopefully have one of the most memorable days of you life!

Cairo was absolutely fantastic and Mohammed couldnt have been any more helpful during booking. Our guide Lilly was great and extremelly knowledgable. By far the best day of our holiday and cant wait to go back one day - hopefully to see Luxor.

We had a wonderful day in Cairo. Visited with my daughter. Very well organised trip. Good to have a female guide as in Sharm there are few female staff and she was very good at keeping the 'hustlers' at bay for us. My daughter and I also felt very safe with someone who knew the city so well. She was very knowledgeable and kept us all amused andinterested.
Full day - lots to see - the Egyptian museum was brilliant and set the context for the visit to the pyramids. We were not so keen on the perfume 'factory' visit as we were a small group and none of us wanted to buy perfume. Therefore we all felt a little pressure, especially as they had provided us with tea and a 'chat',in what is apparently their home.
Also, the trip on the boat to lunch was not optional - there was an expectation that we all took this and it cost extra - if you are aware before, as we were, then this is no trouble, but two of the group were not and felt a little unhappy that they had to pay an extra 100 Egyptian pounds (£10)each - this needs to be made more clear. The lunch was worth it - lots of choice and plenty of it.
There was a camel/horse ride (choice of animal) at the pyramids - this cost extra and again we felt that we had little choice but to except- the view was worth the extra cost but beware that they will ask for further tips at the end - you just need to be clear if you do not want to pay more.
We had the use of a small bus and driver all day so there was not too much walking, the bus was waiting on time for us after the end of each sightseeing part - we were were able to keep any heavy items and jackets on the bus without needing to carry them all day.
Finally, remember that the guide stands outside of Cairo airport as they are not permitted in to the arrivals lounge as other trip representatives are - so don't get worried, like us, that there was no-one to meet you! Just walk on further and they will be there.
If you are going to Egypt then seriously consider this trip - it was worth the money.

had a wonderful experience in cairo. our guide Will was brilliant and looked after us well. the is absolutly NO trouble in Eygpt so shame visitors are down to this great country as it is affecting their livleyhood. We recommend you take boat ride on the nile as beats the smoggy traffic and has great views. food was better than our 5star hotel food. Expect to visit a papayrus and purfume factory as part of your tour. The pyramids are breathtaking and you get haggled like mad by sellers but we listened to our guide and did exactly as he said and we had no trouble. Would highly reccomend sharm excersions and this trip. Ps we even had a visit from Mohammed himself the owner of sharmexcersions come and introduced himself in cairo.

Myself and my Parnter did this tour and really enjoyed it. We were a bit concerned after booking due to the recent troubles reported in cairo but our Guide was very reassuring and in fact we had no issues at all even in the centre of cairo. The highlights were the museum of antiquities and seeing the pyramids, but it was nice to see some local businesses like the perfume factory and the boat trip on the Nile. I would highly recommend this

Throughly recommend Sharm Excursions. My partner and I travelled to Cairo by plane for the 1 day excursion on November 27th. There was absolutely no issues with the unrest that is being reported on currently in Cairo. The tour guide Sam was very professional and had a lot of info about the city. He was only to happy to help with any queries we had on the day.

We booked our trip last year and were very excited to actually go on our Cairo trip.

The day after we arrived in Egypt we met Mustaffa from Sharm Excursions and paid him the balance of our trip.

On the morning of our trip we were met outside our hotel and taken to Sharm airport for our flight to Cairo.

We were met at Cairo airport by a lovely young man called Abraham who was our guide for the whole day. Abraham pointed out lots of buildings and told us a lot of history about Cairo itself. The traffic in Cairo is awful but our driver was very good and made us feel safe.

Our first stop was the Cairo Museum - fantastic to see all the ancient artifacts and hear much about Egyptian history from our very informative and knowlegable guide Abraham. It was 100EL extra to go and see the mummies but it was worth it. The first floor is all about King Tut and amazing to see all his beautiful artifacts.

Our next stop was onto a boat (optional) and a short cruise down the famous Nile - again our guide pointed out lots of interesting facts to us. We stopped for lunch at Nile hotel - the food was lovely - buffet style and very good!!

We boarded our bus again and after a short ride we saw the pyramids - all I can say is wow!! Our guide Abraham took us on a tour of the Pyramids and told us all about them and even took photos for us. We were told that if we wanted to enjoy the experience we must be very firm to the people in the area selling goods - they really did get to be a bit much after a while - but we took Abrahams advice and said politely but firmly - no thank you - even to the policeman riding a camel who wanted us to take his photo - he too would have expected us to pay. We walked around the Pyramids and some in our group of 6 went inside one of them. Next we walked to the Sphynx, fantastic sight and we will never forget it.

We also visited a perfume shop and and a papyrus museum during our day in Cairo but the most wonderful part was the trip to the museum, Pyramids and Sphynx.

Our guide was very good, he explained everything to us and we had a wonderful day.

We arrived back at Sharm about 21.00 very tired but happy.

Thank you to Mohammed, Mustaffa and most of all Abraham. We will definately use Sharm Excursions again.
