We pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh by air-conditioned bus in the early morning and take you to Sharm airport for your flight to Cairo, where you will be accompanied by your Egyptologist tour guide.

When you arrive in the amazing city of Cairo, your first stop will be the Great Pyramids of Giza.

The oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Pyramids of Giza are the very reason alot of people come to Egypt, and seeing them close-up never disappoints.

Constructed over a 20 year period concluding around 2560BC, the pyramids of Cairo was the tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years, to this day we still do not know for sure exactly how they were built, although there are many theories.

During the Cairo tour we will give you much more information on the amazing Pyramids of Giza, and any questions you may have will be gladly answered by your Egyptologist tour guide.

The Sphinx

After you have seen the pyramids of Cairo, your next stop will be the Sphinx. The Great Sphinx of Giza is a mythological creature, formed of a lions body and a human head.

Standing over 73metres long and 20metres high, the The Great Sphinx of Giza is the oldest known monumental sculpture, and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom in the reign of the pharaoh Khafra.

During the tour of Cairo, you will find out how the nose of the Sphinx was broken off by Napololeon's soldiers, which can still be seen today.

Lunch on the Nile

Next up is a break for some lunch on the Nile, this will be a large buffet with foods to cater for all, before going to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities.

Museum of Egyptian Antiquities

Built in neo-classical style, designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon the museum exceed 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-roman period in Egypt and includes the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess.

You may also visit the mummies room at the Egyptian Museum for a background about the Egyptian civilisation and the mummification art in ancient Egypt.

Shopping in the Bazaars of Cairo

After you have seen the pyramids, sphinx and other amazing sights that Cairo has to offer, you will then be given some time for shopping in the world famous bazaars of Cairo.

Return to your Sharm Hotel

Then you will be transferred to Cairo domestic airport to fly back to Sharm El Sheikh with a transfer back to your hotel in Sharm.

Cairo Tour by Plane from Sharm 1 Day Excursion

I booked four excursions - Cairo by plane, Bedouin dinner with star gazing and camel riding, quad biking and parasailing - and every one was perfect.
Our tour guide in Cairo, Abdul, was friendly and knowledgeable; we learned so much. The whole day was well managed and put together. As well as seeing the museum and pyramids, we were taken on a Nile boat cruise, visited the Papyrus Institute and spent some time learning about oils and perfumes from a lovely chap.
Our tour guide for the Bedouin dinner, Sammy (Sammie?), was funny, friendly and welcoming. He shared lots of interesting facts and stories.
We were always collected on time, the transport had A/C and was comfortable and we were treated like VIPs the whole time.
I can not fault Sharm Excursions. I would love to visit Egypt again and would have no hesitation over booking with these guys again. In the meantime, I will be recommending them to all my friends and family.

We were picked up exactly on time early in the morning and flew to Cairo. Will was our tour guide and you couldn't fault him!! He was absolutely fantastic and had a wealth of knowledge everywhere we went!!! We were in a small group which made it a more enjoyable trip and got to know the other members of the group. Don't listen to what any of the hotels say or try to advise about not booking excursions through themselves. They will rip you off. We saved a small fortune with Sharm Excursions and loved every minute of our trip!! It made our holiday and if were to go back, we would definitely use Sharm Excursions again!! Absolutely brilliant!! Keep up the good work!!

This trip was amazing well worth it! Will our tour guide was brilliant looked after us when around pyramids. It was an early start but cario was amazing to see. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Cairo through Sharm Excursions. It was very well organised. I booked a couple of days before my trip and paid my deposit online. A representative named Hesham met us at our hotel the day after our arrival to collect the rest of the money (apparently it was done this way to ensure we get the cheapest rate). We were collected from our resort on the day and taken to the airport. The flight was comfortable and they even provided us with snacks on the 1 hour trip. On arrival at the airport in Cairo we were taken to an air conditioned bus and our guide Will was very funny and informative giving us the history of the area and the many landmarks we passed. The trip began at the museum, which was nice. There was a guided tour of all the noteworthy exhibits and then some free time to have a wander on our own. I was very grateful for that, though the museum was a bit crowded. We were then offered a boat trip along the Nile, we had to pay extra for this. I would have preferred it be included in the tour as it was a lovely part of the trip. We were treated to a delicious lunch at a riverside restaurant. We then went on to a papyrus shop which to be honest wasn't included in the description. At first I was a little miffed about this as it was an obvious ploy to get us to buy things. There was also a trip to a perfume store at the end during which we were also encouraged to buy. While I didn't appreciated being sold to against my will and knew clearly that Sharm Excursions must get a share of the commission, I can understand that for some people it is a nice opportunity to visit a good Egyptian store and buy some genuine products. The trip to visit the pyramids and the sphinx was obviously the highlight of the whole trip. We were able to wander around the pyramids, take photos. We even went inside one, which was an interesting experience. Sweaty and unnerving but one I would have missed. It was amazing just being there. Sure there were a lot of people there trying to get you to buy things or take camel rides, or horse rides. But it was no more hassle than you get at Naama Bay and we were able to handle it by being polite, smiling, joking, but saying no thank you and walking away. It only got dicey when the adorable doe eyed kids came out. But we just ran away from the cuteness ;) All in all I'm very impressed with Sharm Excursions and encourage anyone to book with them. We actually ended up doing three different excursions and it made our holiday all the more enjoyable.

What can I say? Absolutely amazing trip! From start to finish I couldn't fault this trip. Our guide Abdo was knowledgeable, interesting and answered everything. He also took time to talk to each of us and found out what we wanted to get out of the tour and made it happen. The Egyptian museum was interesting and very unique. The boat trip down the Nile showed you a calmer side to the hectic Cairo streets. The pyramids were everything I was expecting them to be: breathtaking. The papyrus and perfume workshops were wonderful because the actually showed you the techniques used. Not once did I feel pressured into buying anything, the staff were just happy to explain. Would recommend this trip to anyone. Big thank you to Abdo, best tour guide ever!
