The oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world and sadly the only one that still remains largely intact, the Pyramids of Giza are the very reason a lot of people come to Egypt, and seeing them close-up never disappoints.
Composed of over 2.3 million blocks of granite weighing 25 - 80 tonnes each and constructed over a 20 year period concluding around 2560BC, the pyramids of Cairo was the tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years, to this day we still do not know for sure exactly these amazing structures were built, although there are many theories.

The Sphinx
After you have seen the pyramids of Cairo, your next stop will be the Sphinx. The Great Sphinx of Giza is a mythological creature, formed of a lions body and a human head.
Standing over 73metres long and 20metres high, the The Great Sphinx of Giza is the oldest known monumental sculpture, and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom in the reign of the pharaoh Khafra.
During your tour of Cairo, you will find out how the nose of the Sphinx was broken off by Napoleon's soldiers, which can still be seen today. There are also theories of kings actually being buried inside the Sphinx!
Lunch on the Nile
Next up is a break for a delicious lunch on the Nile, a large buffet with foods to cater for all tastes and ages. This is a great opportunity to relax and take in the sights and smells of busstling Cairo before going to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities.
Museum of Egyptian Antiquities
Inside this huge, world-famous museum you'll find some of the most important treasures from Ancient Egypt civilisation anywhere in the world, from Pharaonic antiques to the treasure found in the tomb of Egypt's best known King, Tutankhamen.
Spanning two floors, each section of the museum is dedicated to specific Kings, or time periods, even if you're not usually particularity into Egyptian history we find everybody finds it fascinating and a powerful experience to be so close to such historically important artefacts.
Built in neo-classical style, designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon the museum exceed 120,000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-roman period in Egypt and includes the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess.
You can also visit the mummies room at the Egyptian Museum for a background about the Egyptian civilisation and the mummification art in ancient Egypt.
Shopping in the Bazaars of Cairo
After you have seen the pyramids, sphinx and other amazing sights that Cairo has to offer, you will have some free time for shopping in the world famous bazaars of Cairo - another big pull to tourists from all over the world.

The tour was really good! Cairo was amazing and the pyramids were definitely the best bit! we got some amazing photos and our host Omar was amazing! You can tell how much he loves his job! He is very insightful and spoke excellent English. You can tell he loves teaching people in the museum and he wants to keep you safe and learn the most you can on tour!

Cairo Tour by Bus From Sharm 1 Day Trip
the logistics were good, we saw the Pyrmaids and the Ciro Museum but we did not see the center of Ciro or its main attractions. The rest of the trip was rather dissapointing , as we were sent from shops to shops and felt as we need to buy something so we can leave. We paid for a privte tour but the tour guy suggested eating in the car, which was disspointing as we paid for a private tour. We asked for an authentic restaurant but insted of were sent to the place with less than avarage food.

Great excursion with the team. Really went above and beyond to take care of us. Arrangements and the team were all amazing. The tour of Cairo was great with amazing tour guide who really took care of us. They upgraded our tour for free recognising what we needed (being a family with young kids) more than even we did. The museum was nice, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and tailored the tour to what we would enjoy. It's a shame the museum is in the process of being relocated.

Cairo Tour by Bus From Sharm 1 Day Trip
It was a very long 24 hours but very much worth it. We were picked up around 2am and dropped back 24 hours later.
The drive was very long (7 hours) and could have done with being left alone to sleep on the bus rather being woken up so much. It would be good to do the plane version but was cool seeing all the check points sourounded by tanks and guns.
The tour was good as we got to see lots of different parts of the city. The tour guide Sami was very good and keeping everyone awake after such a long trip. Nothing was too much problem for any of the staff. We asked to change our tour from a 2 day trip to 1 as we thought we had seen enough. Not a problem at all, With a refund for the difference.
Only thing i didnt like was the food. Found it was rather cold so upset my stomach!! Great tour Great People!!

Cairo Tour by Bus From Sharm 1 Day Trip
Picked up from our hotel (Falcon Hills) at 1.15am by Sami. e Great coach which was very spacious and cool considering the temperature outside (Very hot!!)Cold drinks and ice creams were provided free of charge throughout the day So we traveled for around 7 hours and had to stop at borders which was not really a problem. The day was truly an experience, such beautiful views and the opportunity to visit one of the seven wonders of the world. We visited the Egyptian museum and out tour guide Will.I.Am was a star, always on hand if I needed anything and very informative. There were a few extra sections to the excursion which were pleasantly unexpected such as the perfume factory where pure essence is able to be purchased and a gallery were paper was made and such fantastic pieces of artwork. Optional is a boat ride on the River Nile to the all you can eat restaurant which is included in the excursion.
In summary a fantastic experience with some great tour guides. Many thanks to Sami, Will and even Mohammed whom we met at the end of the day for him to have the chance to hear of travelers experience's
